What our VCT floor service covers
Our team restores and maintains commercial vinyl composition tile floors across Rhode Island. We handle three jobs that get confused for each other, and each one runs on a different schedule. Strip and wax is a full restoration when the floor looks dull, yellowed, or scuffed past the point of buffing. Scrub and recoat is a lighter maintenance pass between full strips, every three to six months. Auto scrub and burnish is a high-speed maintenance pass for floors that already have good finish, used on retail and medical accounts that need their floors looking fresh between shifts. We work on VCT, vinyl composition tile, LVT, vinyl plank, and a range of other hard commercial floors. Our 4-step floor restoration process
The same process every job, scaled to the floor. Walkthrough first, then prep, strip, neutralize, and three to five coats of commercial-grade finish with proper cure time between coats.
- Walkthrough and flooring assessment — we figure out whether you need a full strip or just a scrub and recoat.
- Furniture move and perimeter prep — chairs, mats, baseboards, vents taped before any stripper touches the floor.
- Strip, neutralize, dry — old finish cut, slurry picked up, floor neutralized, then full dry time before re-coating.
- Three to five coats of commercial wax with cure time — thin even coats, cure window between each, scheduled after hours so your team walks in to a finished floor.
